There are significant changes coming to the Family Courts on 22 April 14.
Did you know that from 22nd April 2014 there is going to be a major upheaval insofar as the Family Court is concerned with the Unified Family Court coming into being. This will effectively amalgamate the Family Proceedings Court, the Magistrates Court and the County Court so that cases may be dealt with by Magistrates or Judges depending on the type of case.
There are also going to be lots of changes in terms of the Orders that Courts can make with regard to children and these Orders will now be called “Child Arrangements” rather than the existing “Residence” and “Contact”.
