Possessions and Evictions services
At Burton & Co LLP, we offer a three-stage eviction service:
Stage 1
Our experts will review the tenancy documents and particulars of the situation which they will use to provide clear and concise advice on your next steps. If it is appropriate, one of our experienced housing lawyers will draft either a section 8 notice, section 21 notice, or both, and serve it on your tenant(s) at no additional cost.
£199 + VAT
Stage 2
If the tenant doesn’t respond to the eviction notice served to them during Stage 1, one of our lawyers will prepare and issue appropriate Possession Proceedings and seek a Possession Order, along with a Money Judgement for any arrears if applicable. One of our housing lawyers will present your case in court at the first hearing, or for a discounted rate you may represent yourself.
£699 + VAT + court costs + travel expenses (if the hearing is at a court of than Lincoln County Court)
£299 + VAT + court costs (no representation at court)
Stage 3
If we successfully secure a Possession Order in your favour, your tenant needs to leave the property by the date agreed in court. If your tenant fails to vacate, one of our experienced housing lawyers will make an application to the court for bailiff attendance. The court will arrange a date and time for a bailiff to attend your property and evict the tenant.
£149 + VAT + court costs
This offer is for bundled services. You are under no obligation to instruct us at all stages, and you can mix and match as you please. Should your matter become defended and fall off the track for possession claims, you may continue to instruct one of our lawyers at their usual hourly rate.
